Are you a Church School Director, Teacher or just interested in Orthodox Christian Education? This is for you!

We would like to extend a warm invitation to you and your Church School Teachers to join us at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral (Ottawa, ON) for the 2019 Pan-Orthodox Education Series. This conference, lead by Fr. Christopher Rigden-Briscall, will open Friday September 27th in the evening. Fr. Christopher will begin by leading the first workshop on “Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth” followed by a light reception. On Saturday September 28th there will be two (2) separate workshops which will cover “The Liturgy of Life: Understanding the Divine Liturgy so as to Live our Orthodox Faith Always and Everywhere” and “Engaging the Unengaged: Teaching Challenging Children/Youth and Children/Youth with Challenges”.  Snacks and lunch will be provided.
Our guest speaker will be Fr. Christopher Rigden-Briscall from Christ the Saviour Antiochian Orthodox Church (Waterloo, Ontario). Fr. Christopher has a background in the field of social work. He has worked with children and youth, including fostering over 30 children. Fr. Christopher converted to Orthodoxy in 1996. After completing the St. Stephen’s Course of Study, he served as a deacon for three years. After attending St. Vladamir’s Seminary, he was ordained to the priesthood in 2005. He serves as the parish priest in Waterloo, Ontario, is very involved in camp ministry and is the father of four. Fr. Christopher has served the Antiochian Department of Christian Education for 9 years as the Christian Education Coordinator for the Diocese of Ottawa, Eastern Canada an Upstate New York.
We ask that you kindly submit your registration form (attached for your convenience) and payment of $40 CDN per participant no later than Friday September 20th as per the registration form instructions. We have also included a flyer to advertise in your local parishes.
